Other travel phrase books give you elaborate sentences like "Would be be so kind as to indicate to me where I can find the next train station"? Did you ever try to use one of them while traveling?

If you dont speak a foreign language and want to know where the train station is, it is much better to just say "train station?". And no, this is not impolite if you clearly dont speak the language. And yes, it actually works!
